Description:

Medical City Healthcare is seeking a congenital heart surgeon to join their comprehensive Congenital Heart Center at Medical City Children’s Hospital & Medical City Heart Hospital in Dallas, TX.

Qualified Candidates:

• Board certification in cardiothoracic surgery and subspecialty certification/eligibility in congenital heart surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS) or equivalent
• Experience and/or additional training in adult congenital heart surgery and heart transplantation
• Ability to operate independently
• Background and interest in clinical/outcomes research

About Medical City Children’s Hospital and Medical City Heart Hospital:

• 225 bed pediatric hospital with the largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in North Texas
• 108-bed Level IV NICU, regionalized care model with 9 Medical City Healthcare affiliated NICUs
• Medical City Children’s Congenital Heart Center consists of 2 dedicated cardiovascular operating rooms, 2 cardiac catheterization labs, 1 hybrid suite, a 25-bed dedicated CICU/Stepdown Unit with 24/7 attending/NP coverage, ICAEL-certified Echo Lab, cMRI and collaborative 3D printing programs
• Two congenital heart surgeons with neonates/infants comprising 70-80% of surgical volume
