Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP in the United States is seeking a thoughtful Conflicts Attorney to join our Office of Legal Affairs. You will identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest related to new engagements, client matters, and lateral hiring, providing guidance on ethics matters and preparing screens and waivers.

The ideal candidate has a JD, three years of law firm experience, and strong research, writing, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• JD degree and at least three years of law firm experience, bar license active preferred.
• Experience with electronic research and conflicts software (Intapp) preferred.
• Strong ethics, conflicts, and professional conduct knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review new engagements and hires to identify potential conflicts.
• Conduct electronic research to resolve conflict and ethics issues.
• Prepare engagement letters, waivers, and ethical disclosures.
• Analyze work and provide guidance on conflicts and ethics to attorneys.
• Communicate with attorneys and business professionals to resolve issues.
• Assist in training staff on conflicts and intake procedures.
• Close client accounts per firm policy.
• Ensure compliance with Rules of Professional Conduct.
