Goodwin is seeking a Conflict Attorney to manage conflicts clearance for firm-wide hires and new business. You will analyze complex reports, research jurisdictional issues, and coordinate with partners and the Ethics Advisory Committee to ensure ethical compliance and prevent conflicts across matters.
The role requires JD, strong analytical abilities, and experience with conflicts systems. You will train staff, draft engagement letters, and participate in on-call weekend coverage as needed.

The Conflict Attorney is responsible for conflicts clearance review and analysis for firm-wide legal hires and new business, working directly with the Department Director and Managers, as well as with attorneys and the firm’s Ethics Advisory Committee, to identify and resolve potential ethics and business conflict issues. Analyzes the more complex conflict reports. Assist Director and Managers in training and overseeing the work of the Conflict Analysts and Specialists. This position requires strong knowledge of the rules of professional responsibility and sound analysis of potential conflict issues. The attorneys and Ethics Advisory Committee rely upon the Conflicts Attorney’s information in making decisions about whether or not to accept new legal hires, clients and matters.
