About the Role

Fredrikson is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join our Conflicts Team. This fully remote position (available to candidates in Iowa or Minnesota) involves ensuring accurate conflicts reporting and analysis to minimize legal risk. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and knowledgeable about conflict rules and legal risk analysis. The role reports to the Conflicts Manager and collaborates with attorneys and staff across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure accurate entry of parties into the conflicts database, including corporate structures.
  2. Conduct corporate research using various tools to assess conflicts for new business intake and other matters.
  3. Prepare and present detailed written and verbal conflict analyses.
  4. Review new business intake reports, lateral hire conflicts, RFPs, and related materials critically.
  5. Assist in managing attorney and staff requests with prompt guidance.
  6. Support lateral candidate conflict reviews and engagement letter/conflict waiver processes.
  7. Conduct conflict searches and reviews independently, escalating only complex issues.
  8. Maintain professional communication at all times.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in a large law firm setting.
  • Knowledge of conflicts rules under the Rules of Professional Conduct.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent; bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Familiarity with conflicts software like InTapp-Open, Elite, and legal research tools such as Dun & Bradstreet Family Tree Portal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information effectively.
  • Understanding of conflict resolution methods such as waivers and ethical screens.
