Our client, a prominent national law firm, seeks an experienced Conflicts Analyst for a contract engagement expected to last 3-6 months. This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be able to work east coast business hours (typically 9 am-5 pm). Hourly rate range is $40-50/hr, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide contextual analysis and critical assessment of new business intake reports, lateral hire conflicts checks, RFPs, and other conflicts materials.
- Manage department’s intake of requests from attorneys, accounting, and others, and provide accurate and timely responses.
- Work with attorneys to negotiate specific terms as needed; maintain accurate records and tracking system.
- Assist in administration of ethical screens and ensure screening records are complete.
- Execute lateral candidate review processes.
- Manage the engagement letter and conflicts waiver processes.
- Oversee new business intake review from start to finish, including searching and final analysis.
- Conduct conflicts searching and review with minimal guidance, escalating only complicated conflicts issues or other noted items.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm environment.
- J.D. strongly preferred, but candidates with suitable training, education, and experience demonstrating ability to perform duties will be considered.
- Experience drafting waivers, reviewing engagement letters, and familiarity with ethical walls.
- Experience with conflicts software; Aderant and Intapp are strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
