Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Configuration Manager 3 to oversee the CM of developmental and operational systems, including third-party stacks and firmware. You will create baselines, manage change control boards, and ensure CM processes are followed across multiple locations and CI/CD environments.

The role requires strong CM experience, DTA readiness, and experience with GitLab in a government/USG context.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to become a certified Data Transfer Agent (DTA).
• If assigned to a developmental program, one year of experience using a source code control system is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of all review boards, managing change requests and defects from creation to completion; ensure code changes are implemented into software following CM processes.

• Develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to project complexity.
• Implement version control processes, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with software teams to maintain, validate, and audit CI/CD processes and integration framework.

• Maintain baselines for development, test, production, etc., across teams.
• Use automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures.

Job Description Position Summary Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Configuration Manager 3 responsible for configuration management of developmental and operational systems, including third-party OEM and USG HPC software stacks and firmware. The role creates and maintains configuration baselines, implements configuration management policies and procedures, and performs change control and configuration audits across multiple systems and locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for SW Configuration Management of third-party OEM and USG HPC software stacks and firmware using GitLab.
• Manage the execution of all review boards, managing change requests and defects from creation to completion; making sure code changes are implemented into the software code following configuration management processes.
• Create and maintain configuration baselines across multiple systems in multiple locations.
• Develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental system.
• Implement version control processes, policies, and procedures.
• Work with software teams to maintain, validate, and audit processes and procedures in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and software integration framework.
• Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems.
• Works on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting developmental and operational systems.
• Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures.
• Develops or modifies CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system.
• Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life.
• Perform change control and configuration audits.

Required Qualifications

• CM experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity meeting an applicable education and experience pathway in the equivalency section.
• Ability to understand and communicate change requests and issues to the boards.
• The candidate must have the ability to become a certified Data Transfer Agent (DTA).
• If assigned to a developmental program, one (1) year of experience using a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity is required.

Required Education and Experience Equivalency

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university with Eight (8) years' experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Twelve (12) years (8 years + 4 additional years) of experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, in lieu of a degree.
• Master's degree with Six (6) years of experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity; a Master's degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, thereby reducing the total years of experience to six (6).

Required Certifications

• The candidate must have the ability to become a certified Data Transfer Agent (DTA).

Required Security Clearance

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• U.S. citizenship is required
