HEICO is seeking a Configuration Control Coordinator to oversee tracking, release, and archiving of engineering and manufacturing documents. Under the Operations Support Manager, you will maintain databases and ensure compliance with configuration management procedures.
You will act as a liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing, release BOMs and master build records, support Change Control Board processes, and assist with scheduling daily production workflows.
Under the direct supervision of the Operations Support Manager, the Configuration Control Coordinator performs general duties pertaining to configuration control. This employee is responsible for tracking and releasing engineering and manufacturing documents and maintaining those files.
Five to seven years of document/configuration control or related experience is required. Employee is expected to acquire the necessary information and skills to perform the job reasonably well within 90 days in the position.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, some college relating to the engineering field is preferred.
Skills expected include demonstrated computer skills and proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Working knowledge of Solid Works/Altium is preferred. Must possess the ability to read schematic BOM's, manufacturing and planning documentation. Strong verbal and written skills are required.

Frequent problem solving is required in this position. Problems include resolving database accuracy issues and inconsistencies and suggestions to improve the Document/Configuration Control process, and supervising/resolving change control board documents and processes.
Frequent decision making is required in this position. Decisions include troubleshooting configuration control issues and overseeing the resolution of those issues, assisting engineering and manufacturing managers in document creation, usage and administration, supervising configuration procedures and policies, and approval of change control board documents.
Employee is responsible for the safe use of departmental equipment. Employee is not involved in authorization of departmental expenditures.
Employee has frequent contact with other employees and other departments when coordinating the planning, engineering and manufacturing functions.
This position supervises all databases, storage/retrieval/release of documents, and the change control board processes and documents.
No adverse working conditions exist. Frequent computer use is required for this position. This position performs work either on or near production environment which can be loud at times.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to perform office and computer work. The employee can be required to occasionally lift items up to 10 pounds approximately 10% of the time. Employee must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing documentation; ability to write reports and other correspondence; and the ability to effectively discuss information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
