Job summary

Averro is actively seeking a senior Configuration Management leader to own and establish the configuration management function for a next‑gen nuclear technology program. The role focuses on establishing baselines, governance, and lifecycle traceability across hardware and software, while aligning with engineering milestones.

You will chair change control boards, drive CM processes, and build a trustworthy source of truth across programs, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 12+ years of dedicated configuration management experience in hardware and engineering CM.
• Experience in regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, or defense is preferred.
• Experience writing and implementing CM plans and managing engineering baselines for physical products.
• Familiarity with CM standards and governance at program level.

Pay Range: $185,000 - $210,000 DOE

Our client is building next-generation nuclear technology and looking for a senior Configuration Management leader to own and establish their configuration management function. What You Will Do

• Establish and maintain product baselines across hardware, software, and documentation
• Chair configuration control boards and lead change control from intake through disposition
• Build a reliable configuration source of truth across programs, resolving historical document conflicts along the way
• Drive configuration audits, status accounting, and full lifecycle traceability
• Develop digital tools and workflows to increase visibility and reduce manual effort
• Work directly with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure teams operate from correct, approved design information

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; other bachelor's degrees considered for candidates with the right experience
• 12+ years of dedicated configuration management experience in hardware and engineering CM
• Background in a regulated industry such as nuclear, aerospace, or defense
• Demonstrated experience writing and implementing CM plans and managing engineering baselines for physical products
• Experience driving CM processes, standards, and governance at a program level
• Teamcenter or comparable PLM experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with CM standards such as EIA-649, CMII, or NQA-1 a plus
