Deliver Precision in Naval Logistics Support
Phoenix Group of Virginia is seeking an experienced ILS / Configuration Analyst to support lifecycle logistics and configuration management for U.S. Navy and Military Sealift Command (MSC) operations. In this role, you’ll ensure that equipment, systems, and supporting documentation are accurately maintained throughout new ship construction and ongoing fleet sustainment. Your attention to detail will directly impact maintenance readiness, operational endurance, and mission success.
Key Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end support for configuration baseline development and maintenance of ship systems and equipment.
Manage Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements including provisioning, allowance documentation, and maintenance planning.
Support the identification and analysis of technical documentation, including tech manuals, part specs, and engineering changes.
Assist in risk assessment and development of logistics mitigation strategies across the equipment lifecycle.
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of configuration data used to support material procurement and equipment outfitting.
Contribute to process improvement efforts related to ILS requirements, documentation, and contractual compliance.
Analyze supportability issues and provide data-driven recommendations to resolve inventory, sourcing, or technical gaps.
Serve as a logistics subject matter expert during new ship construction and in-service sustainment initiatives.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in ship acquisition and/or fleet sustainment logistics, including work with MSC, U.S. Navy, or U.S. Coast Guard.
Equipment provisioning and modeling for preventative, corrective, and engineering alterations
ILS documentation development and analysis
Marine engineering systems and support structures
Ship repair planning and configuration control
Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, standards, and documentation across platforms.
Strong analytical skills to support logistics audits, inventory reviews, and deliverable evaluations.
