Job summary

Alight is seeking a collaborative Configuration and Testing Analyst to partner with Account Executives, clients, and internal teams. You will gather and document business requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and translate challenges into practical solutions.

You will help ensure configurations are tested and delivered accurately while supporting consistent processes and best practices across Alight Leave Solutions. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements.
• Experience in Absence & Disability, Leave of Absence, HR, employee benefits, and/or health insurance tech.
• Deliver detailed requirements for complex projects and support transformation or automation initiatives.
• Experience with Smart Sheets and JAVA; IIBA CCBA/CBAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements-gathering discussions and support configuration, implementation, and testing.
• Identify process improvements and establish scalable best practices.
• Build strong relationships with client, business, and technical partners.

About the Role

We are seeking a collaborative and solutions-focused Configuration and Testing Analyst to partner with Account Executives, clients, and internal business and technology teams. In this role, you will lead conversations to understand business needs, gather and document requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate complex challenges into effective solutions.

You will play an important role in supporting Alight Leave Solutions, helping ensure solutions are configured, tested, and delivered accurately while promoting consistent processes and best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business processes, identifying gaps and challenges, and translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Leading requirements-gathering discussions and supporting system configuration, implementation, and testing using business-configurable tools.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, increasing efficiency, and establishing scalable best practices.
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with client, business, and technical partners to support ongoing operational effectiveness.
• Serving as a functional escalation point, helping evaluate issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Collaborating with technology partners to align requirements and development efforts and support timely, accurate delivery.
• Mentoring and supporting other Business Systems Analysts in requirements gathering, documentation, coordination, and analysis.
• Evaluating completed work and project outcomes to identifying key learnings and opportunities to strengthen future processes.
• Developing, documenting, and promoting tools, resources, and best practices that align with Alight Leave Solutions' business goals.

Requirements

• Have business analysis experience with demonstrated expertise in gathering, analyzing, and documenting complex business requirements.
• Have experience in Absence & Disability, Leave of Absence, HR, employee benefits, and/or health insurance technology solutions.
• Demonstrate proven ability to deliver detailed requirements for complex projects and support business transformation, process improvement, or automation initiatives.
• Possess proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Notepad++, and/or configuration and integration platforms.
• Have analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Be able to collaborate effectively across client-facing, business, operational, and technical teams.
• Possess bachelor's degree in technical or related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Smart Sheets and JAVA is required and IIBA CCBA and/or CBAP certification is a plus.

Salary Pay Range

Minimum : 75,000.00 USD

Maximum : 95,000.00 USD
