Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Configuration Analyst Principal to assist the NSWC Crane Hypersonic Systems Engineering Team in developing and implementing Configuration Management processes, authoring documentation, and applying CM best practices for a hypersonic developmental program transitioning configuration responsibility from the Lead Systems Integrator to the Government.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in CM.
• Formal Configuration Management certificate (CMII, CMPIC, CMTF).
• CM Leadership experience in both developmental and sustainment programs.
• DoD Acquisition program experience; Navy experience preferred.
• Experience with Product Life Cycle Management, Data Management, and Software CM Tools (SharePoint, Windchill, DOORS, JIRA).
• Interim clearance to start, with SAIC sponsorship to obtain a secret clearance; US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Assist Crane CM lead in formulating CM strategy for the program.
• Apply CM practices to evolving baselines and ensure items are correct and consistent.
• Interface with government and contractor stakeholders across multiple domains.
• Track system development, design changes, and effects on overall configuration.
• Perform Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCAs/PCAs).
• Establish and maintain product baselines and coordinate changes in technical data packages.
• Coordinate with logistics, engineering, and program management to reflect changes in TDPs.
• This position will be filled in Crane, IN, Huntsville, AL, or Washington, DC and requires regular access to Classified information.

SAIC is seeking aConfiguration Analyst Principaltoassistthe NSWC Crane Hypersonic Systems Engineering Team in developing and implementing Configuration Management (CM) processes, authoring documentation/policy, and applying CM best practices for a hypersonic developmental program working toestablishformal processes as configuration responsibility is transitioned from the Lead Systems Integrator to the Government.

NOTE: Position willeither be staffed onsite atCrane or remotely in Washington,DCor Huntsville, AL.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• TheCandidate will assist the Crane CPS CM lead in formulating big picture strategic ideas to drive CM strategy for the program (including CM processes for the CPS Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) test environment) ina rapid development environment; enable processes that will prepare the program for weapon system sustainment requirements; help the program obtain technical and data driven solutions; and evaluate and recommend engineering, CM, and Data Management (DM) tools


• TheCandidate will apply sound configuration managementpractices to evolving technical program baseline(s), and ensure configuration items are correct, complete, and consistent in compliance with technical and programmatic requirements


• This position will require heavy interface with a variety of Government National Team program stakeholders (government, Prime Contractor, National Labs) as well as various Government/contractor working groups that span functional areas (systems engineering, hardware & software engineering,logistics)


• In this role,theCandidate willbe responsible fortrackingall aspects of system development,product designchangesand the effects onthe overall system.TheCandidate willensureconfiguration identification;prepare andprocesschange; documentation;facilitatechange review boards; helpstructure andmaintaindatabases;andgenerate configuration status reports andconfiguration verification audit recordssheets


• The Candidate will perform configuration audits including Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)


• Establish and maintain product baselines (Functional, Allocated, and Product) for assigned systems and subsystems


• The Candidate will coordinate with logistics, engineering, and program management teams to ensure configuration changes are properly reflected in technical data packages (TDPs)


• Thisposition must be filled in Crane, IN, Huntsville, AL,or Washington, DC and requires regular access to Classified information.


• Position does allow for a hybrid schedule with some telework when not needed at the customer site

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPIERENCE AND CLEARANCE:

• Bachelor’sdegreeand 10+ years' experience (5+ in CM)


• Formal Configuration Management Certificate (i.e., CMII, CMPIC, CMTF)


• CM Leadership experience (experience with both developmental and sustainment programs desired)


• DoD Acquisition program experience (Navy program experience preferred)


• Experience with a variety of Product Life Cycle Management and Data Management, and Software CM Tools (e.g., SharePoint, Windchill, DOORS, JIRA, or equivalent)


• Interim clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience conducting or supporting FCAs/PCAs on Navy systems


• Background in Software CM (SCM) and Agile processes


• Experience with Navy Model Based Product Support (MBPS) systems
