Job description

CRAFT is a dynamic and growing company specializing in Trade Association Management and Corporate Events, including multi-day conferences, tradeshows, and professional meetings. We are a close-knit, remotely located by fully integrated team that delivers high-impact events and long-term value to the clients we serve.

We are currently seeking a full-time Association Event Planner to join our collaborative, mission-driven team. This position plays a key role in both our association management and event execution services. Like all CRAFT team members, we’re looking for someone who is client-focused, detail-oriented, and ready to go above and beyond to make a meaningful impact.

Position Summary:

The Association Event Planner works directly with CRAFT’s Account Executives and client teams to plan and execute a wide variety of local, regional, and national meetings and events.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, proactive, and excited to work in a role that blends logistics, hospitality, and creativity.

This is a fully remote position, with occasional travel required to attend or staff events across South Carolina and the U.S.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with CRAFT Account Executives to assess and understand client needs for events, including:Meeting rooms, hotel blocks, ballrooms, convention halls
    Banquet/catering, AV, printed materials, signage
    Entertainment, exhibit areas, sponsorships, and promotion
  • Compiles and maintains vendor pricing and assists with contracts for services
  • Visits prospective event sites and provides input on venue selection (as needed)
  • Coordinates room blocks, food and beverage orders, and BEOs with host properties
  • Works closely with clients and internal teams to develop event agendas, speakers, and social programs
  • Develops and manages event budgets- works closely with Bookkeeper
  • Supports marketing and communications related to event promotion
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2 or 4-year degree required, degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Communications or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in corporate event planning or a related area
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
  • Proven project management and time-management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience with graphic design tools or digital communications platforms is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment with a high level of self-direction

Work Environment & Benefits:

  • Work Style: Fully remote (SC-based required)
  • Travel: Occasional travel is required (local, regional, national events)
  • Schedule Flexibility: Must be available to work varied hours to support client events, including evenings and weekends, as needed. General work hours are 8:30-5:00 Monday-Friday
