Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa in San Diego seeks a Conference Services Manager to coordinate outstanding events from planning to billing, serving as the primary liaison between clients and the hotel.

You will lead onsite coordination, prepare detailed orders and diagrams, and ensure flawless execution for high-end groups, meetings, and celebrations, delivering hotel-wide exceptional service.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in event coordination, corporate group or social event planning.
• Strong time management and organization skills are required.
• Menu and wine knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise assigned groups and events, acting as liaison between clients and the hotel.
• Distribute detailed event orders, group resumes, and diagrams.
• Oversee onsite event coordination and assist with final billing.

THE JOB:

As a Conference Services Manager you will have the opportunity to create memorable experiences for guests at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. This is a highly visible role that acts as the liaison between clients and the hotel to provide detailed planning and supervision of assigned groups and events. This role will provide exceptional service for clients, planners, and vendors to help support the greater hotel operations team in providing elevated event experiences. The Conference Services Manager distributes detailed event orders, group resumes, and diagrams, oversees event planning meetings with clients, manages onsite event coordination, and approves final group billing arrangements. This position reports to the Director of Conference Services.

Requirements

Refined verbal and written communication skills, with precise attention to detail

At least 2 years experience in event coordination, corporate group or social event planning required

Menu and Wine knowledge preferred

Delphi experience preferred

Strong time management skills and organization required

Proven demonstration of conflict resolution, with grace under pressure to provide resolution

Experience in luxury environment, with priority of guest satisfaction in a fast-paced and high volume environment

Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.

Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.

Performs other duties and attends operational meetings, as assigned, to meet business needs
