Job summary

Global Financial Media & Events Organizer in New York (Hybrid) seeks a Conference Producer to research, develop, and deliver our US event agendas. You will own the content lifecycle end-to-end, from market research to speaker acquisition, session design, and live event delivery.

Your role will collaborate with commercial, editorial, marketing, and operations teams to ensure programs attract senior audiences, secure top speakers, and deliver outstanding delegate experiences.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in conference production across B2B events.
• Proven experience leading conferences as the primary project manager, owning the full event lifecycle.
• Confidence engaging with senior executives and inviting speakers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of what drives delegate attendance.
• Willingness to travel internationally and nationally to support event delivery.

Company: Global Financial Media & Events Organizer

Location: New York (Hybrid)

Compensation: $90k Base Salary + Bonus

Our client is a highly respected media and information company with a global footprint across finance and professional services, delivering breaking news, exclusive industry data, and world-class conferences that connect industry leaders worldwide. This role is focused on one of the company's leading B2B market intelligence brands, serving financial institutions, professional services firms, and corporates with news, data, primary research, and market-leading events.

As Conference Producer, you'll research, develop, and deliver conference agendas for the company's US event portfolio, producing approximately 3-4 market-leading events each year.

Working closely with commercial, editorial, marketing, and operations teams, you'll create commercially relevant programs that attract senior industry audiences, secure high-quality speakers, and deliver exceptional delegate experiences. You'll own the content development process end-to-end - from market research through agenda creation, speaker acquisition, onsite delivery, and post-event evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

Conference Content & Agenda Development

• Conduct market research to identify industry trends, emerging topics, and commercial opportunities


• Develop engaging conference agendas for the company's US event portfolio


• Produce compelling session titles, descriptions, and programme copy


• Ensure conference content aligns with audience needs and commercial objectives


• Monitor competitor events and identify opportunities to differentiate the company's products

Speaker Acquisition, Audience Development & Relationship Management

• Identify, approach, and secure high-quality speakers from across the industry


• Support broader audience development, including sponsors and key industry stakeholders


• Build and maintain relationships with senior executives and industry stakeholders


• Proactively set up meetings with new and existing partners, both locally and during research trips


• Manage speaker communications from invitation through to event delivery, including briefing speakers ahead of time


• Maintain accurate speaker records and production timelines

Event Production

• Manage the production timeline for assigned events, ensuring key milestones are met


• Work closely with operations, marketing, and commercial teams to deliver successful events


• Support the creation of event marketing copy and promotional content


• Attend events onsite to manage speakers and oversee agenda delivery, including chairing sessions and moderating panels


• Conduct post-event reviews and gather feedback to improve future programs

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work with the Research/Insights team to ensure content reflects market developments


• Collaborate with Sales to support sponsorship opportunities


• Partner with Marketing to promote conference content effectively

What We're Looking For
