Job summary

RM Palmer Company, LLC is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead ingredient and commodity sourcing for our confectionery manufacturing operations. You will own procurement strategy, negotiate supply agreements, and manage supplier performance to ensure reliable material supply.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field.
5–8+ years of progressive procurement experience in food manufacturing, confectionery, ingredients, agricultural commodities, or CPG.
Strong negotiation, supplier management and contract administration skills.
Experience with inventory planning and material replenishment processes.

Responsibilities

Lead sourcing and purchasing of ingredients and edible commodities including cocoa, sugar, oils, dairy, nuts, flavors, colors and inclusions.
Manage POs, inventory coverage, material requirements and supplier deliveries to ensure continuity of supply.
Identify and resolve shortages, delivery issues and other supply risks proactively.
Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts and lead supplier negotiations and RFQs.
