Conductor Equipment Operator (Multi-Wire Draw Operator) - 3rd Shift

Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a Machine Operator - Conductor Equipment Operator for our Turners Falls, MA manufacturing facility. The operator will set up and operate machines to draw and bunch copper wire to specified small diameters, patterns, and quality standards.

Minimum Hourly Rate: $20.32/hour, with a $3.00/hour 3rd shift differential.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Work from orders, schedules, samples, instructions, and BPCS system to ensure efficient production and proper machine setup. Coordinate with other departments as needed.
2. Set up and operate Multi-Wire Fine Draw machines and Rod breakdown, take samples, and conduct inspections as per SOPs.
3. Manage reel production to minimize partial reels and enter data into the BPCS system.
4. Perform product changeovers, cold welding, and minor maintenance tasks.
5. Report defective materials, malfunctions, and safety hazards. Maintain a clean work environment.
6. Cross-train on other machines as necessary and maintain flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, basic math skills, team player, detail-oriented, eager to learn.
• Moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 60 lbs., standing for long periods, and physical mobility.
• Ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks and work in potentially adverse conditions.
