Job description

Condition Monitoring Business Manager

As part of the Plant Optimization team, the ideal candidate will manage and direct the company’s reliability-centered maintenance and condition monitoring business. They will interact with customers to support model development, maintenance, and analysis of power plant equipment. The successful candidate will collaborate with management and team members to identify, understand, engage, develop, and support various technologies and customers. The Condition Monitoring Business Manager will promote and maintain business for the company's product and service offerings and contribute to the innovation process for condition-based modeling and monitoring software for real-time analysis of mechanical systems and equipment.

Location & Compensation

Location: Remote - USA, preferably near Idaho Falls. Regular travel to Idaho Falls, ID, will be required.

Salary: $85,000 - $135,000 (range is a guideline; actual offer will depend on qualifications, experience, and market considerations).

Your Responsibilities
  1. Lead and develop reliability-centered maintenance solutions.
  2. Manage and grow our condition monitoring business, including software and services.
  3. Mentor team members in monitoring and diagnostic services, providing subject matter expertise.
  4. Manage staffing and ensure customer satisfaction.
  5. Support sales and marketing efforts to promote our offerings.
  6. Maintain relationships with existing and new customers.
  7. Innovate new technologies and apply existing products to the market.
  8. Develop monitoring strategies and tools using advanced techniques.
  9. Provide software technical support as needed.
  10. Follow technical standards and procedures.
  11. Apply new concepts to develop technical competence.
  12. Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals.
  13. Respond effectively and courteously to customer input.
  14. Proactively address problems and opportunities to meet customer and company needs.
Required Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability-centered maintenance.
  • Management skills.
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and diagnostic technologies.
  • Experience with power plants, OEM, EPRI, or similar industries.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment and field instrumentation.
  • Experience with anomaly detection models and software solutions.
  • Understanding of power plant systems.
  • Willingness to travel.
