Job summary

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, part of Allina Health, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the PM&R Concussion Program in Minnesota. You will care for concussion and post-concussion patients alongside PM&R physicians, APPs and rehab specialists in a collaborative setting.

Role emphasizes follow-up, diagnostics, treatment planning, patient education and coordination with a broad care team to support meaningful recovery within one of Minnesota's leading rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited physician assistant program or nurse practitioner program.
• New graduates may be considered; minimum 2 years experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Licensure as PA (NCCPA) or NP (ANCC) required on hire; ACLS-BLS Tier 2; DEA.

Responsibilities

• Will conduct follow-up appointments and may complete patient assessments as appropriate.
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
• Collaborates with hospital staff by consulting and rounding on patients.
• Works with primary care team for program development.
