Job summary

The Brazos River Authority (BRA) seeks a concrete worker to join a maintenance team at Possum Kingdom. The role involves pouring and finishing concrete, operating concrete tools, setting forms, reinforcing bars, and supporting welders and abrasive blasters on BRA dams. Scaffolding and related duties may also be required.

Requires 1–3 years of concrete experience and a High School Diploma. This is a non-exempt, full-time position with benefits and a starting salary range based on hourly pay at

Brief Description

The purpose of this position is to perform concrete work and assist the welders and abrasive blasters as part of a team in completing work duties and perform construction, repairs, and general maintenance on the Brazos River Authority (BRA) dams. This is accomplished by pouring and finishing concrete; operating concrete saws and jackhammers to remove deteriorated concrete; building and setting concrete forms; bending, cutting, and installing reinforcing bars. Other responsibilities include operating heavy equipment; assisting the welders and abrasive blasters; assisting with scaffold erection and any other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements


  • One to three years of concrete experience.

  • High School Diploma - Awarded for the completion of High School.

$21.56 to $27.50 per hour. This is a non-exempt position.
