Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. seeks Highway Concrete Technicians to travel within Texas for night-shift concrete repair and maintenance. Based out of Grand Prairie, TX, you will cover tasks across the state and occasional trips to CO, following all safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include driving to job sites, performing concrete repairs, and coordinating with traffic control as needed, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Concrete Technicians to travel and perform concrete repair and maintenance operations in the Texas area during the night shift. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to driving across the state of Texas, highway concrete repair/maintenance, guardrail, and drainage and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Highway. Concrete Technicians will be based out of the Grand Prairie, TX yard and require the ability to travel at least 75% of the time within the US, mostly within TX but quarterly to CO.

Required Experience

• Concrete forming/repair experience required - Minimum 3 years of related experience
• Roadway maintenance experience
• Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
• MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator

Preferred Experience

• Roadway maintenance experience
• Air compressor operations familiarity
• Guardrail and Sign installation experience
• Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations

Schedule

Full time; Must be able to travel 75% of the time with 1 week notice. Must be able to work rotating day or night shift, including weekends. Day shift is typically 7am - 3:30pm. Night shift is typically 6pm - 2:30am or once concrete is cured, Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.
