Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Highway Concrete Technicians to travel across Texas, performing concrete repair and maintenance during the night shift. Base location is Grand Prairie, TX, with up to 75% travel required.

You will operate heavy equipment, use hand tools, and follow safety regulations. A clean driving record and ability to pass background checks are required. The role includes benefits, paid time off, and overtime opportunities.

Position summary:

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time HighwayConcrete Technicians to travel andperform concrete repair and maintenance operations in the Texasarea during the night shift. This positionrequires performing a variety of tasks related to driving across the state of Texas,highwayconcrete repair/maintenance, guardrail,and drainageand adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Highway. Concrete Technicianswill bebased out of the Grand Prairie, TXyard and require the ability to travel at least 75% of the time within the US, mostly within TX but quarterly to CO.

Required Experience:

• Concrete forming/repair experience required - Minimum 3 years of related experience
• Roadway maintenance experience
• Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
• MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator

Preferred Experience:

• Roadway maintenance experience
• Air compressor operations familiarity
• Guardrail and Sign installation experience
• Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:

Full time; Must be able to travel 75% of the time with 1 week notice. Must be able to work rotating day or night shift, including weekends. Day shift is typically 7am - 3:30pm. Night shift is typically 6pm - 2:30am or once concrete is cured,Must be able to work weather events such as snow,ice, and floods.
