Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK offers a Higher Apprenticeship in Chester starting September 2027. You’ll earn a salary while training to become a Mineral Products Technician, with a clear pathway to the role of Area Technical Supervisor.

The program blends hands-on work in our concrete business with formal university study. You will gain practical experience from day one, supported by mentorship and structured learning.

Qualifications

• 80+ UCAS points and 5 GCSEs including Maths, English & Science.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Self-starter, team player, excellent communicator, flexible and proactive.
• British citizenship or UK settled status.

Responsibilities

• Health & Safety: Support safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture through reporting and engagement.
• Environmental Management: Assist with permit compliance, resource-saving initiatives, and community liaison activities.
• Quality Assurance: Work with the technical team to maintain product quality and operational efficiency.
• Compliance: Help ensure all activities meet legal and company standards.
• Operations & Production: Contribute to production targets, support plant and machinery management, and drive continuous improvement.
