C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to lead field operations in the Atlanta area and drive project success with strong safety and quality focus.

You will manage crews, coordinate with Project Managers and engineers, and ensure work progresses on time across multiple sites, with opportunities to grow your expertise in diverse concrete projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Concrete Superintendent or similar field leadership role.
• Strong understanding of concrete construction, sequencing and production.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee concrete construction from project start through completion.
• Lead concrete crews, foremen, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
• Plan daily and weekly work to keep the project moving and on schedule.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries.

• Keep safety at the forefront of everything happening on the job.
• Participate in daily planning, toolbox talks, and project coordination.
• Travel to other project locations when needed.

Job description

C.W. Matthews is looking for an experienced Concrete Superintendent to join our team in the Atlanta area.

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows concrete construction, knows how to lead people, and wants to have a real say in how a project gets built.

As a Concrete Superintendent, you’ll take ownership of field operations, lead crews, work closely with Project Managers and other members of the project team, and help make sure the work gets done safely, efficiently, and the right way.

You’ll primarily work in the Atlanta area, with opportunities to support projects in other locations as needed. That means you’ll get exposure to different types of work, different projects, and plenty of opportunities to continue growing your experience.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee concrete construction from project start through completion.
• Lead concrete crews, Foremen, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
• Plan daily and weekly work to keep the project moving and on schedule.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Foremen, and other project leaders.
• Keep an eye on production, quality, productivity, and schedule.
• Read and understand plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents.
• Oversee forming, reinforcing, concrete placement, finishing, and related work.
• Identify problems early and work with the team to find practical solutions.
• Keep safety at the forefront of everything happening on the job.
• Participate in daily planning, toolbox talks, and project coordination.
• Communicate with inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal teams.
• Keep accurate records of manpower, production, materials, equipment, and project activities.
• Help develop and mentor Foremen and other members of the field team.
• Travel to other project locations when needed.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has been in the field and understands what it takes to get a concrete job built.

You’ll bring:

• Experience as a Concrete Superintendent, General Superintendent, Concrete Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
• A strong understanding of concrete construction, sequencing, and production.
• Experience leading crews and managing day-to-day field operations.
• The ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• The ability to solve problems and make decisions in the field.
• A hands‑on leadership style and a willingness to hold yourself and your team accountable.
• Willingness to travel periodically based on project needs.
• A valid driver's license.
