Certerra is seeking experienced Structural Special Inspectors in Tacoma, WA for ongoing Federal, commercial and infrastructure projects. Applicants should hold ICC Special Inspector credentials (or related) with possible WABO registration and be prepared to obtain a passport within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, and able to meet background and identity verification requirements for Federal site access
• Must have or have the ability to acquire a Passport within 90 days.
• ICC Special Inspector in one or more categories, current WABO registration also desirable
• Certification categories include Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, Spray Applied Fireproofing, Proprietary Anchors, Structural Steel and Bolting, Structural Welding, Prestressed Concrete, AWS CWI

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and testing on Federal, Commercial, and Infrastructure new-construction projects in the Tacoma Region, supporting safe, code-compliant, and high-quality project delivery.
• Interpret construction documents, RFIs, and structural details with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure compliance with approved plans and codes.
• Read, interpret, and report on field testing results and inspections within your certification scope.
• Maintain relevant certifications and pursue new credentials aligned with career goals.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
