Job summary

Leeward Construction Inc. is looking for an experienced Concrete Sidewalk & Curb Foreman to lead and supervise concrete crews on highway and site construction projects throughout Northeast Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant experience and strong knowledge in concrete work.

Job description

Leeward Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Concrete Sidewalk & Curb Foreman to lead crews on heavy highway and site construction projects throughout Northeast Pennsylvania. This position is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, coordinating crews and equipment, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead concrete sidewalk and curb crews on active construction projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, grades, and project specifications
• Coordinate daily work activities with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors
• Ensure proper layout, forming, pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete
• Operate and oversee equipment including skid steers, excavators, rollers, and curb machines
• Maintain production schedules while ensuring quality workmanship
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Train and mentor crew members
• Conduct daily jobsite inspections and ensure proper site housekeeping
• Monitor materials, equipment, and labor usage
• Complete daily reports and communicate project progress

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of concrete, sidewalk, and curb construction experience
• Prior foreman or crew leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, grading, and layout
• Ability to read construction plans and grades
• Experience working on roadway, utility, or heavy highway projects preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL preferred but not required
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
