Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a motivated Concrete Saw Operator to join our construction team. You will perform sawing and removal tasks, set up equipment, and learn to operate a variety of concrete cutting saws safely while following project specifications.

This outdoor role requires a willingness to learn specialized equipment, a strong work ethic, and dependable attendance; prior concrete sawing experience is not required but appreciated.

Qualifications

• Previous construction, concrete, utility, demolition, or laborer experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn specialized equipment and construction techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate various concrete saws (e.g., wall saws, flat saws, wire saws) to cut through concrete surfaces such as walls, floors, and pavements.
• Set up and prepare cutting equipment and work areas. Ensure tools are well-maintained and calibrated.
• Accurately measure and mark cutting lines and areas based on project blueprints and specifications.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of PPE. Report any unsafe conditions or practices.
• Inspect cut areas for accuracy and ensure that work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on saw equipment. Report major equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Work closely with other team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure the work area is clean and free of debris at the end of each shift. Properly dispose of or recycle materials as required.
