Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a QC Technician in Sioux Falls to observe fabrication of precast concrete structures and perform daily testing to verify conformance with production drawings and Oldcastle quality standards. You will maintain records, report issues to production, engineers, and management, and assist sales with product quality inquiries.

ACI certification is preferred, with training to pass field testing within 3 months, and candidates should have at least 3

Qualifications

• QC experience in related industry required or preferred.
• ACI Certification preferred or must pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months.
• At least 3 years of concrete experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and walk in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily testing of concrete specimens
• Perform daily pre and post pour inspections of products
• Maintain records of observations for every structure produced
• Report to production crew, engineer, and management on process improvements, repetitive mistakes, and quality concerns
• Write a Corrective Action Report for each defective or damaged product
• Assisting the sales team to respond to any customer complaints about product quality
• Ensure correct implementation of our QC program in Sioux Falls
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
