Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions LLC in Caldwell, ID seeks a Quality Control Technician to help ensure concrete products meet PCI, ASTM, AASHTO and company specs, supporting infrastructure projects across drainage, bridges, and stormwater systems.

Responsibilities include testing air, slump, temperature, unit weight, and cylinders; documenting results; inspecting materials; maintaining records; and conducting monthly QC training.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Ability to read production drawings and equipment manuals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Knowledge of PCI, ASTM and AASHTO standards.
• ACI/PCI certifications within one year preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure concrete products meet PCI/ASTM/AASHTO and internal specs.
• Oversee and document air, slump, temperature, unit weight, and cylinder tests.
• Take corrective actions to maintain product quality.
• Maintain records of cylinder breaks per PCI requirements.
• Inspect raw materials and fresh concrete during batching.
• Ensure proper mix designs are used for each product type.
• Operate and maintain quality testing equipment.
• Conduct monthly quality control trainings and document records.
