Job summary

Cemstone Ready Mix, Inc. in South St. Paul, MN is seeking a Pump Operator to safely drive and operate concrete pumps of various boom lengths or line pumps.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, site setup,pump operation, and post-job clean-up with emphasis on safety and environmental responsibility. The role requires a valid CDL, English proficiency, basic math, and ACPA certification within 12 months with recertification every two years; pay ranges from $37–$46 per hour with full-time

Qualifications

• Education or equivalent experience for pump operations.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Must perform basic math and handle cash transactions.
• Valid CDL driver’s license with appropriate class.
• Pass ACPA test within 12 months and maintain recertification every 2 years.
• Experience with heavy duty trucks and concrete pumps.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip inspection of pumps per DOT regulations.
• Operate pumps to achieve required yards per hour safely.
• Set up pump at the project site with contractor or homeowner.
• Clean pump systems after use in an environmentally responsible manner.
• Maintain dispatch communications via radio/pagers/cell phones.
• Complete daily paperwork and collect monies if necessary.
• Call out each afternoon/evening for next day’s start time.
• Perform post-trip inspection and coordinate with maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the placing manager.
