Job summary

Big-D Construction in Salt Lake City is seeking a Concrete Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of concrete construction projects. You will work with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about concrete work, with experience in reading drawings and managing RFIs/submittals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and details.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents, plans and specs to support project execution.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordination of concrete operations.
• Prepare, track and manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Support procurement of materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with field crews to ensure work aligns with design and quality standards.
• Assist in maintaining and updating project schedules.
• Develop and utilize 3D models of concrete structures for planning and coordination.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or delays.
• Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders including clients and suppliers.
