Job summary

Tindall Corporation is a leading precast concrete manufacturer with locations across the Southeastern U.S. We hire workers to place steel, strand, and concrete in bed for production and to strip and clean the bed between pours.

Safety and quality rules guide every task as crews prepare beds, lay out rebar, and handle tools for the pour. Responsibilities include receiving concrete, operating vibrators and screeds, and maintaining and cleaning the bed area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Must follow safety and quality rules and processes.

Responsibilities

• Place steel, strand, and concrete in bed for production of a concrete member.
• Strip and clean bed for next pour.
• Prepare for pour by blowing out bed and handling pouring tools.
• Receive concrete, vibrate and spread it with vibrators.
• Place insulation and ties as applicable; assist with bed setup and cleanup.

Strips and cleans bed for next pour.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.Receives instructions, rolls torches, steel and tool buggies to bed and unloads.Uncovers bed, removes, sided forms if applicable, detentions’ bed, removed bulkheads, removes block outs and cutbacks with railroad bar, cleans and oils bed.Lays out rebar, plates, loops, channel and insulations, etc.Pulls strand, threading bulkheads, block outs, frames and dead man, and; cuts strand with grinder and places chucks on ends.Places and ties rebar, loops, stem and flange wire, chair flange wire, and places form and side plates.Prepares for pour – blows out bed with air hose and receives pouring tools.Receives concrete, hooks up air hoses, spread and vibrates concrete with spud vibrator, vibra trak, or vibrating screed.Places insulation and C ties in bed, if applicable, scrapes rails, sweeps up excess concrete around bed, collects all tools and materials, and puts them away in tool chest or returns to warehouse.Job Specifications or Qualifications:Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
