Job summary

Fabcon is seeking production laborers to support the manufacture of concrete products such as wall panels, barriers, columns and sound walls. You will follow instructions, set up beds, handle finishing tasks and maintain quality and safety on the line.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, operating equipment, handling overtime, and coordinating with the team to meet daily production goals. This position requires physical endurance and adherence to the Fabcon Way of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read tape measure, cast book and blueprints.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate machinery safely.
• Ability to work extensive overtime when required.
• Knowledge of concrete mixes.
• Mathematical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions to clean and upkeep all equipment.
• Cut and install wood block outs.
• Set up equipment used for casting bands and finishes.
• Place concrete on the bed to match piece drawings.
• Lay out the bed with proper dimensions on each piece drawing.
• Set up the bed according to piece drawings including form side reveals and bottom steel/plates.
• Wash exposed aggregate on panels/full beds.
• Place finished product dunnage correctly in yard.
• Grind ends of panels and pallet of bed.
• Scrape clean side forms, chamfer and oil; set clamps/hook-ups to panels.
• Commit to safety, quality and efficiency; report finish issues.
