Job summary

Fabcon Precast in Mahanoy City, PA is seeking a production laborer to support the manufacture of high-quality concrete products such as wall panels, highway barriers, columns, and sound walls.

You will follow work instructions, assist with casting, bed setup, finishing, and safety. The role requires reading drawings, operating equipment safely, and overtime as needed. A high school diploma or GED is preferred and physical work is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read tape measure, cast book and blue prints.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate machinery safely.
• Ability to work extensive overtime when required.
• Knowledge of concrete mixes.
• Mathematical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions to clean and upkeep equipment.
• Cut and install wood block outs.
• Set up equipment used for casting bands and finishes.
• Place concrete on bed to match piece drawings.
• Lay out bed with correct dimensions on drawings and bed length.
• Set up bed per piece drawings with form side reveals and bottom plates.
• Wash exposed aggregate (panels/full beds).
• Place finished product dunnage properly in yard.
• Grind ends of panels and pallet edges.
• Scrape side forms and oil chamfers.
• Set clamp/hook-ups to panel accurately.
• Maintain safety, customer satisfaction, and first-time quality.
