Job summary

Castle Builders Supply, a Western Pennsylvania leader in ready‑mix concrete, is seeking a hands‑on Plant Manager in Aliquippa, PA. You will lead daily operations, supervise drivers, coordinate schedules, and manage maintenance to ensure safe, efficient production and top‑quality concrete.

The role requires strong leadership, a focus on safety, and ability to optimize materials, equipment, and process flows while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ACI Certification or willingness to acquire required.
• PA DOT technician certification, or willingness to acquire required.
• Understand mix design differences and verify loads and slumps.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations to ensure safe, efficient and reliable production.
• Supervise and support a team of 5–15 ready‑mix drivers.
• Coordinate daily schedules and loads with dispatch.
• Oversee plant maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Plant Manager (Concrete Manufacturing)

Location: Aliquippa, PA. Castle Builders Supply is the #1 ready‑mix concrete producer in Western Pennsylvania, part of the PJ Dick‑Trumbull‑Lindy Group. We are looking for a hands‑on, dependable Plant Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations at one of our facilities and help us keep raising the bar on quality, safety, and service.

What You’ll Do

• Manage operations to ensure safe, efficient and reliable production.
• Supervise and support a team of 5‑15 ready‑mix drivers.
• Coordinate daily schedules and loads with dispatch.
• Complete all required paperwork and administrative duties including payroll, invoice approvals, ticketing, and managing inventory using computers, tablets or cell phones to ensure proper accounting and time‑keeping practices.
• Oversee plant maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, OSHA regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain quality control standards for concrete production.
• Work with state‑certified mix designs and testing requirements.
• Monitor inventory, materials and production efficiency.
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ACI Certification and a working knowledge of the various ACI tests or willingness to acquire required.
• PA DOT technician certification, or willingness to acquire required.
• Understand mix design differences and be able to visually inspect for proper materials, verify the load size to the ticket, check proper slump and make adjustments.
• Prior supervisory or management experience.
• Knowledge of plant operations, batching systems, and equipment maintenance.
• Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to coordinate repairs.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Consent to authorization of a pre‑employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
• Ability to lift/lower/carry over 50 pounds.

A note on schedule: This role requires extended hours and an irregular schedule to keep the plant running when our customers need us most.
