Job summary

Pennsy Supply, a CRH Company, is hiring a Construction Concrete Laborer in Manheim, PA to support high-volume concrete paving on roads and highways. The role involves hands-on tasks, following safety rules, and coordinating with concrete delivery and traffic control to keep projects moving.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of experience; willingness to work day, night, or weekend shifts at various locations; successful drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules per MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply policies.
• Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts).
• Signal concrete deliverer to position truck for pouring.
• Move discharge chute to direct concrete into forms.
• Spread concrete into inaccessible sections using rake or shovel.
• Level concrete to specified depth with screed/float to achieve proper finish.
• Finish surfaces with power trowel or with abrasive stone as needed.
• Remove defects using grinder, chisel, hammer, or epoxy patch.
• Mold expansion joints and edges; assist in traffic management.
• Direct and coordinate with dump and lute personnel.
• Cleans tools and work areas; operate power tools as required.
