Concrete/Masonry Field Inspector - Blacksburg, VA

Stevenson Consulting, Inc. is a well-established engineering firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspections. We are looking for a full-time entry-level CONCRETE/MASONRY FIELD INSPECTOR to join our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Observing and testing samples of concrete and masonry on client’s job sites
2. Preparing daily field reports for management review
3. Assisting with laboratory testing and other assigned tasks as needed
4. Daily interaction with clients and team members

Required:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. At least one year of experience in construction industry
3. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and team lift 70 lbs.
4. Ability to climb ladders
5. Willingness to work off-shift hours, including some weekends
6. Willingness to work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
7. Ability to use electronic devices
8. Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving history
9. Ability to pass background screen and drug screening
10. ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector or ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector
11. ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
12. ACI Concrete Field Grade I
