Job summary

Wagman is seeking a Concrete Laborer to join our Heavy Civil, Inc. team, primarily based in Norfolk, VA with regional travel. You will assist on-site crews with formwork, mixing and pouring concrete, and other tasks to ensure timely, quality construction.

The role demands physical effort, safety awareness, and ability to follow directions. HS/GED preferred and 1+ years of construction experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; basic reading/writing skills.
• 1+ years experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and take instructions; construction experience, concrete knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry, load, unload and stack materials.
• Lay out materials and assist experienced crew members.
• Dig with pick and shovel.
• Shovel, rake, spread and vibrate concrete into place.
• Climb embankments and ladders to carry material to various work sites on project as needed.
• Jackhammer and saw cut concrete, chipping concrete.
• Clean up project site of debris.
