Job summary
Texas Materials, A CRH company, is seeking a hardworking Concrete Laborer / Steel Tier to support heavy highway, roadway, and civil construction projects in Texas. The role involves placing and securing reinforcing steel, preparing work areas, assisting with concrete operations, and performing general labor tasks to help complete projects efficiently.
Ideal candidates have experience with rebar installation, reading construction plans, and safe tool handling.
Qualifications
- Experience in concrete construction and rebar installation preferred.
- Ability to read and follow plans, drawings, and directions.
- Safe use of hand and power tools; attention to detail and quality.
Responsibilities
- Place, cut, bend, and tie reinforcing steel per plans and specs.
- Install rebar, wire mesh, dowels, and reinforcement for concrete structures.
- Read tapes and interpret layouts for accurate placement.
- Assist concrete placement, finishing, curing, and protection activities.
- Operate hand and power tools and maintain a clean work area.
- Load/unload materials and coordinate with crews to meet schedules.
- Follow safety policies and PPE requirements on site.
