Job summary

Commercial Metals in Dunn, NC is seeking a hands-on manufacturing teammate to support precast concrete production from setup through shipment. You will set up molds, place reinforcing materials, and assist with pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete, all while maintaining strict safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to perform physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, bending) for extended periods.
• Availability for overtime, including weekends as needed.
• Ability to work well on a team to meet production goals.
• Basic math and reading skills (measurements, simple drawings).
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support production of precast concrete products from setup through shipment.
• Set up and prepare molds/forms (clean, assemble, apply release agents).
• Place reinforcing materials (rebar, wire mesh, embeds) per specifications.
• Assist with pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete.
• Support curing process and strip finished products from molds.
• Perform basic finishing (patching, smoothing, marking/stenciling).
• Cut and tie wire/rebar as needed for reinforcement.
• Move and stage materials and finished products for curing or shipment.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
