Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking a laborer to support road construction and related structures in Wisconsin. You’ll help with concrete demolition and repair, operate and maintain tools, and assist with site clean-up while following job-site directions and safety rules.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, 3–5 years of road labor experience, and flexibility to work nights or weekends. CDL is strongly preferred and union membership is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required with satisfactory driving record.
• Class A CDL strongly desired.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be punctual and dependable and able to work varied hours.
• Ability to work in varied weather and in dirty/dusty environments.
• Union membership is encouraged; not required to start.
• 3–5 years road construction laborer experience preferred.
• Experience operating concrete tools (vibrator, jack hammer, mortar mixer, saw).
• Experience puddling concrete for extended periods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in layout and construction of roads and related structures.
• Perform concrete demolition and repair tasks as directed.
• Keep machines and equipment maintained and clean.
• Assist in job-site clean-up and material handling.
• Follow Foreman or management guidance and safety protocols.

The Position:

We're looking for a Laborer responsible for many tasks that require physical labor supporting all aspects in the layout and construction of roads and related structures to include concrete demolition, concrete repair, keeping machines and equipment maintained, assist in clean-up of job site, and other duties assigned by the Foreman or other management.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

• Class A CDL strongly desired.

• Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.

• Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.

• Member of a Local Laborer Union, or willingness to become a union member are required. Union membership is not required prior to employment.

• 3-5 years road construction laborer experience is preferred.

• Experience operating a concrete vibrator, jack hammer, mortar mixer, and concrete saw.

• Experience puddling concrete for extended periods of time preferred.
