Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Southwest Agg LLC is seeking an undergraduate student internship to apply Construction Management education in real project settings. You will assist in field and office tasks, supporting engineers, managers, and production staff while gaining practical experience.

You will learn about production, maintenance and quality processes, with emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance and company policies.

What You'll Be Doing:

Put your education into action in the field to support and participate in assigned project work. Support the plant operations in achieving production goals while partnering with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees in different departments. Complete technical projects to gain an understanding of the operations. Learn the mission of the production, maintenance, and quality departments and different job and functions. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

What Are We Looking For:

Current juniors and seniors working toward a degree in Construction Management, or a related field. Commitment and engagement through a high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company. Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Work Environment:

Combination of office and field work. Exposure to various weather conditions. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform manual labor tasks as needed.
