Qualifications

KTA‑Tator, Inc. (KTA) is a 100% employee‑owned materials engineering firm recognized for corrosion protection and asset integrity. The company provides coatings, steel, concrete fabrication, and building envelope inspection services worldwide.

KTA is hiring ACI and PCI Certified Technicians to perform QA inspection of precast and reinforced concrete pipe fabrication in the Chesapeake Bay area, Michigan/northern Ohio, mid‑Atlantic, and Maine. Candidates must travel and work irregular or extended hours, including night shift and weekend work.

Responsibilities

Perform QA inspection of precast and reinforced concrete pipe fabrication, test fresh concrete for air content, slump and temperature, prepare reports, and communicate with construction teams. Provide inspection for pre‑stressed concrete, particularly for transportation and bridge projects.

Qualifications

• ACI Certified Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I; able to test fresh concrete and prepare reports.
• PCI Level II or III certification; experience with prestressed concrete inspection, especially transportation and bridge projects.
• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Integrity, detail‑oriented, customer‑oriented, strong communication and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, excellent work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, email.
• Physical requirements: hearing, vision, ability to travel, work outdoors, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, crouch, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces and uneven terrain.
