Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Louisiana seeks a skilled formwork carpenter to plan, lay out, and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts for concrete structures according to plans and codes.

You will read prints, assemble forms, pour and finish concrete, and work safely on a construction site, with potential overtime. A high school diploma or equivalent is required and you must be able to use hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret prints, drawings, plans and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret prints, drawings, plans and specifications and visualize objects in 3D from plans.
• Construct, erect, install and repair structures, scaffolding and framework using hand and power tools.
• Measure, cut, assemble and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts; construct built-in or prefabricated forms.
• Erect built-in-place or prefabricated forms; insert spreaders and tie-rods to maintain dimensions; brace forms.
• Pour concrete, finish surfaces to specifications and install all related items per plans.
