Description of Duties

Concrete Forming Experience is required for work in either the concrete or general contracting division. The role requires mastery of the laborer skill set. Responsibilities include aligning forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patching voids; and using saws to cut expansion joints.

Minimum Requirements

• Pass Drug & Alcohol Test
• Education: High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications

• Proficient as a Laborer 1 and 2 or carpenters union experience
• Skills to properly align walls
• Skill to visualize wall layout
• Proper use of tools including: tool belt, hammer, tape measure, speed square, torpedo level, pad or channel locks, pliers, Klein Tie Wires, plumb bob, gammon reel, stick glue, nail bag, gloves, and pencil
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screening and motor vehicle review
• Ability to work irregular hours including weekends when necessary
• Ability to work in harsh weather conditions for long periods of time
• Ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath
• Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without fatigue
