Job summary

Orion is seeking a Form Setter to build and align forms for concrete structures using wood, metal, vinyl, and other materials, following customer plans. This role involves hammering stakes, driving fasteners, and long shifts of 8–12 hours, with weekend work as production needs dictate.

Interpret blueprints, estimate quantities, set anchor bolts, operate cement mixers and trowels, and mentor other workers. A minimum of one year of experience and a HS diploma/GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in concrete structural construction, finishing concrete structures and pier foundations.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds, erects, and aligns forms for concrete structures and pier foundations.
• Sets anchor bolts for drilled pier foundations.
• Estimates concrete quantities and mixes.
• Interprets blueprints and reads survey stakes; calculates areas and volumes.
• Spreads concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
• Performs leveling and shaping of concrete surfaces.
• Removes rough spots from concrete surfaces with grinders.
• Mixes cement using a concrete mixing machine.
• Provides assistance to other workers and foreman as needed.
• Mentors and trains other foundation employees.
• Completes work records and generates reports.
• Operates equipment and tools required for each job.
• Maintains equipment and tools for long-term use.
