Job summary

Knife River is seeking a Form Setter to construct in-place or prefabricated forms for concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters and other structures. The role requires basic carpentry skills and the ability to read construction plans.

Pre-employment drug screening and physical are required; veterans are encouraged to apply. Essential duties include building and laying out forms to spec, erecting forms on site, securing dimensions with spreaders and tie rods, and maintaining a clean, safe work

Qualifications

• Must have basic carpentry skills.
• Able to read construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Build and lay out forms as required according to specifications with calculations based on grades.
• Saw slumber to blueprint dimensions using handsaw or power saw; nails lumber to make panels.
• Erect built-in-place or prefabricated forms on site per blueprint specifications using hand tools.
• Insert spreaders and tie rods to maintain specified dimensions.
• Anchor and brace forms to fixed objects using nails and equipment.
• Maintain a clean work site and ensure safety.
• Timely and regular attendance is essential.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
