Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking a Form Setter to construct built-in-place or prefabricated wooden and/or metal forms for concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters and similar structures.

The job involves laying out forms, reading blueprints, tying and bracing forms, and maintaining a clean, safe work site. A valid driver’s license, basic carpentry skills and ability to read plans are required; pre-employment drug screen and physical are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Basic carpentry skills.
• Ability to read construction plans.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Build and lay out forms as required according to specifications.
• Saw slumber to blueprint dimensions and nail lumber to make panels.
• Erect built-in-place forms or assemble and install prefabricated forms on site.
• Insert spreaders and tie rods to maintain dimensions.
• Anchor and brace forms to fixed objects with nails, rods, cables, planks, timbers.
• Clean work site and maintain tools and equipment.
• Attend work regularly and on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
