Job summary

Thorpe Specialty Services Corporation seeks a Concrete Foreman to oversee daily activities of skilled workers on active job sites in Utah, ensuring work is performed safely, on-schedule, and to project specifications. You will supervise crews, read blueprints, coordinate with PMs and trades, and enforce safety protocols through regular site meetings and inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in specialty trade is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in the specialty trade industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, project management, and industry best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.
• Physical stamina to work on job sites and perform manual labor when required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• AMPP/CIP certification preferred

Physical Requirements

• Work is primarily performed on job sites, which may include varying weather conditions and environments.
• Occasional travel may be required based on project location.
• Some physical labor may be involved
• Ability to lift items over 20 pounds, including lifting and carrying materials.
• The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.

The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
