Concrete Foreman

Straight Edge Contractors LLC is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead our concrete crews on commercial and civil construction projects throughout the El Paso area.

Position Summary:

The Concrete Foreman is responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating daily operations, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule while meeting our quality expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a concrete crew on commercial and civil construction projects.
• Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members.
• Coordinate with project managers and superintendents.
• Layout concrete work using proper surveying and measuring techniques.
• Oversee excavation, subgrade preparation, forming, reinforcing steel placement, and concrete placement.
• Ensure proper finishing techniques and curing procedures are followed.
• Operate equipment when necessary, including skid steers, excavators, loaders, and forklifts.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Train, mentor, and motivate crew members.
• Complete daily reports, production logs, and communicate project progress.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Concrete Foreman leading a crew.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Concrete forming systems.
  • Reinforcing steel installation.
  • Concrete placement and finishing.
  • Sidewalks, curb & gutter, ADA ramps, driveways, foundations, slabs, and structural concrete.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage schedules and meet production goals.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
