Job Overview

Position

CONCRETE FINISHER – NE, SD, IA

A Successful Candidate Will Meet The Following Qualifications
  • Assist in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete and dismantling forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or other tools.
  • Grade dirt and concrete efficiently.
  • Clean construction site to eliminate possible hazards.
  • Assist to align, straighten, plumb, and square forms for concrete pouring.
  • Build curb.
  • Understand current and changing ADA requirements.
  • Prepare, form and pour proper ADA compliant ramps that pass inspection prior to and after completion.
  • Communicate effectively with inspectors.
  • Collaborate and teach crew members to successfully restore ADA compliance.
  • Be dependable and able to perform physically demanding work while exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including extended periods of standing.
  • Successfully pass pre‑employment and random drug testing as per company policy and Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Lift up to 100 pounds on a daily and continual basis.
  • Maintain a current driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with safety regulations.
  • Maintain distance and peripheral vision standards.
  • Work overtime as dictated by workload volumes.
  • Travel as needed.
Preferred Requirements
  • Possession of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or willingness to obtain a company‑paid CDL.
  • Ability to obtain a company‑paid Federal Medical Card.
  • Close vision may be required for some functions.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions such as humidity, cold, heat, moisture, and wind.
  • Noise levels can become loud at times.
  • Frequent exposure to slow- or fast‑moving conditions.

Compensation
  • $26–$32 per hour, based on experience. Union package and benefits are offered.
